This client came to us to solve a problem: They loved their riverfront apartment but felt it wasn’t functioning as well as it could for their family. Parents of teenage boys, they found themselves having quick dinners in a tight eat-in-kitchen and then all retreating to their bedrooms for the evening to look at their devices.

After a quick lifestyle assessment, we quickly decided that the living room, the largest and least used room in the house, needed to be reconfigured to join the family together. We added comfortable, modern upholstery to their already gorgeous antiques, and added a TV into a discreet cabinet that could be tucked away when entertaining guests.

A kitchen renovation ensued, allowing for a more gracious eating area, and a maid’s room was transformed into a tiny jewel box perfect for work or relaxation.

One of the greatest joys in what we do is helping clients live better through great design. We are so proud of this project and how transformative our work was for this family.
